Martha Jane Wilson passed away peacefully and with dignity in Prescott, Arizona on January 31, 2021, at age 91.
She lived a full life, filled with love of family and friends. Martha was born on November 27, 1929, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She married Thomas Wilson on September 7, 1975.
Martha taught school in North Carolina, and in 1977, they moved to Odessa, where she taught sixth grade for fourteen years. After retirement, she continued to work with children.
Martha was a past president of Beta Epsilon, and she received Teacher of the Year Award for 1987 – 1988 school year. She wrote book reviews for the Odessa Library and was a member of The Friends of the Library.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wilson, and her daughter, D’Ann Lemons. She is survived by daughters, Teresa Vonk and husband John of Prescott, AZ, and Dale Lynn Reichart of Greenville, NC; and by stepdaughters Bonita Bischoff, Jeanne Honeycutt and Belinda Perkins of Raleigh, NC; and by six grandchildren.
