Marty Carl Grant, 55, went to be with his Heavenly Father on October 2, 2011. He was born on September 30, 1956 in Nocona, TX to Elmer Grant and Martha Rose Grant. He was raised in Imperial, TX where he graduated in 1974.
Marty was a 32nd Mason Degree member of Masonic Lodge 1285 in Imperial, Texas. Raised on December 18, 1978. Marty served as District Deputy Grand Master District 57. The Grand Lodge in Texas A.F. and A.M. Marty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served many years as the Worthy Patron. He was ordained as a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Imperial, Texas on February 13, 1983.

Marty had a vast knowledge of the oilfield and took pride in his work. For 35 years he shared his knowledge with family and friends as a business partner for CM Service in Imperial, TX, Fishing Tool Supervisor for Weatherford and Independent Consultant for Marty Grant Consulting. He was never afraid of a challenge and recently extended his knowledge as the CEO of Crystal Clear Plumbing in Monahans, TX.

Marty had a big heart and enjoyed supporting local organizations including FFA programs, sporting events and local charities. Marty will be remembered as a man that could make a friend anywhere and had a story or joke for every situation. Above everything he was a family man. He loved spending time with his girls fishing and took pride in teaching them the important lessons in life.

Marty Carl Grant is survived by his wife, Dottie Grant of Monahans, Texas daughters, Jacqueline Pullen and husband, Jeremy of Monahans Carla Davis and husband, Zeth, of Monahans, and Jennifer Hall and, husband, Joe, of Monahans Mother Martha Grant of Arlington, Texas Sisters DeLane Cagle and husband, Rick, of Iraan, Texas, Joy Choate and husband, Rick, of Arlington, Texas, and Pam McLaren and husband, Steve, of Klondike, Texas.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Brooklyn Grant, Crystal Davis, Kaiden Hall, Saitlynn Hall and Klayton Hall as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marty was preceded in death by his father Elmer Carl Grant grandson Jaden Byren Davis and grandparents Doise and Connie Grant and Robert and Florence Pruitt.
Pallbearers will be Cody Cagle, Travis McLaren, Trevor McLaren, Tayton McLaren, Robert York, Chuck York, Brent Snapp and Stacy Snapp.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bruce Porter, Willie Gathings, Mike York, David Mosher, Terry McAnally, Wayne Neff, Mike Johnson and Melvin Craft.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 68 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October, 5, 2011 at 11am at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Billy Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to American Cancer Society, 811 Central Drive, Odessa, Texas 79761.
