Mary Day

Mary Lorene Day, age 90 of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Odessa.

She was born October 11, 1922 in Hope, Arkansas to Jesse Roland Cornelius and Emma Powell. She was raised and educated in Hope, Arkansas where she graduated from Water Creek School and attended Water Creek Church. She moved to Odessa where she met and married John Robert Day, Jr. on August 3, 1947. She was a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Church for 55 years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Lee Jordan and her husband John Robert Day.

Survivors include her son, Phillip Wayne Day of Bayfield, Colorado her daughter, Gail Rhuna Day of Odessa sister, Carlene Burns of Bayfield, Colorado 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be 57 PM Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Dennis
officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Justin Day, Joann Cornelius, Lee Jordan, Louie Rey, Phillip Day, and Don Norris.
