Mary Patterson

Mary Patterson, 92, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on November 30, 2021.

She entered this world on February 4, 1929, in Scotts Hill, TN, born to Iley Oscar and Mary Stanfill.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Goldie; son, Donald Patterson; son, Byron Patterson; and brother, Wayne Stanfill of Memphis, TN.

Mary was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, serving as both local and State Auxiliary Madam President, chairing such charities as Bob Hope and Jimmy Durante Hughen Center in Port Arthur, Chairman of the City of Hope Cancer research, Auxiliary Mother F.O.E. and High Sky girls Ranch and Co-Chair Steel Creek Children's Ranch, she also assisted with Fireman's Toys for Tots of Odessa.

Mary loved family, her church, seeing new things, bowling, and photography.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, December 6, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 6, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Pugh officiating.  The chapel service will be livestreamed via the link located near the bottom of this page.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Strobe Patterson, Steel Patterson, Ever Gist, Sagan Gist, Darren Okun, Case Gist, and Camilo Dominguez-Montero.
