Mary Margaret Stucks, 71, of Odessa, Texas passed away on March 18, 2018 in Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 21st at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Thompson and Rev. Ned Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mary was born in Seagraves, Texas to Albert and Irene Bean on February 12, 1947. She graduated from Permian High School in 1965. She married R.C. Stucks on August 2, 1968 in Odessa, Texas. Mary attended Cornerstone Worship Center Assembly of God. Mary loved being around her family and friends. She was a true inspiration to many, especially after her battle and victory over breast cancer. As a result, she became fond of the color pink and wore it proudly in support of others who battle breast cancer. She had many interests, but her greatest love was spending time at the lake with her boys when they were younger.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Irene Bean, and her nephew, Keith Witt.
Mary is survived by her spouse of nearly 50 years, R.C. Stucks; her 6 sons, Brian Stucks and wife, Jill of Little Elm, Texas, Chris Stucks and wife, Jeanie of Odessa, Texas, Raymond Stucks and wife, Diane of Marshall, Texas, Steve Stucks and wife Teri of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Stan Stucks and wife, Christine of Odessa, Texas, Bryce Stucks and wife, Yvette of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; siblings, Darlene Lewis of Lubbock, Texas, Brenda Hubbard and husband, James of Odessa, Texas, and Steve Bean of Haskell, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Zachary Stucks, Zane Stucks, Collin Stucks, Tyler Stucks; nephew, Blake Hubbard; and longtime friend, Danny Williamson. Honorary Pallbearer is her grandson, Lance Stucks.
Memorials may be given to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation, National Breast Cancer foundation or any other breast cancer foundation.
The family of Mary Stucks wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of the staff at Buena Vida Nursing and Rehab Center for all of the care and love they provided to Mary Stucks and her husband R.C. while Mary was in their care.
