Mary Weaver

Mary Hodges Weaver, 74, of Odessa, Texas was called home by our Lord on October 20, 2017.

Services and burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10am with Rev. Charlie Johnson officiating.

Mary was born to Hoover Hodges and Viola Soules Hodges on May 13, 1943 in Goldthwaite, Texas. Mary's younger years were spent in Lampassas, Texas before her family moved to Odessa in 1956. She attended Bonham Jr. High and graduated from Permian High School in 1961. Mary worked for First National Bank in Odessa for several years and loved traveling with her parents before marrying the love of her life, James Weaver on September 27, 1968. They quickly started a family and thus began 48 years of nurturing, supporting and loving beyond measure her "girls". She was truly a wonderful mother and wife. Mary loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was sweet, funny, and stronger than anyone knew.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband James Weaver, parents Hoover and Viola Hodges, father-in-law JD Weaver, brother, Wade Hodges, and sister Peggy Webb.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters Bonnie Widner and husband Dane, Jaye Nabarrette and husband Chris all of Odessa, adored grandchildren Paige and Brody Phillips, Chance and Colby Nabarrette, many nieces and nephews and beloved in-laws.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.

Our family would like to thank Parks Village Assisted Living for the love and care you showed momma the last two and a half years. You are all Angels.
