Mary Evelyn Scott Wylie, 88, of Odessa past away at her residence on November 21, 2013.
She was born October 29, 1925 in Lamesa Dawson County, Texas to James Cecil and Catherine Parsons Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents her son, Tony Ray McLauren her husband, Andy Wylie of 41 years and her two brothers, JC Scott and Billy Ray Scott.
She is survived by her daughter, Jimmie Catherine Mckinney and her husband whom Mary thought hung the moon Jimmy Ray Mckinney three grandchildren, Jamie DLynn McKinney of Lubbock TX, Jimmy Ray Mckinney Jr. and his girlfriend Amber Williford, and Joni Cae Stoker and husband Austin Stoker 2 great grandsons, Shane Andrew McKinney and Cash ORylan Stoker, all of Odessa TX niece, Donna Mascarenas and husband Eddie Mascarenas and sisterinlaw, Nell Scott, all of Albuquerque New Mexico.
Evelyn graduated in 1943, in Lamesa, home of the Golden Tornadoes, where she was a member of her pep squad. She was born during the Great Depression. Evelyn was saved at the young age of 12. Evelyn had the memory of an elephant. Even remembering Pearl Harbor and what she was wearing. Evelyn saved everything and always had anything you needed.
Memaw was an exceptional cook baking cakes was her specialty. She collected angels, quilts, afgans, and precious memories. Her pride and joy was her family. Memaw was the most selfless, kindhearted and loving lady. She loved everyone that she met, and everyone loved her. Memaw was a true firecracker up until her last breath.
Memaw will be missed greatly by many,

Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Sunset Chapel with Reverend Clark Racca and Sam Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
