Mattie Cavender

Mattie Sue Cavender, age 88, of Odessa, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Odessa.

She was born May 25, 1925 in Vivian, Louisiana to Virgil Benona Little and Mary Alice Holland Little. She was raised in East Texas and later moved to San Angelo where she met and married her beloved husband, R.C. Cavender, who preceded her in death, along with her son, Johnny Lee Cavender.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Steve Cavender and his wife Myrna, of Austin, TX her daughter, Susan Benefield and her husband Dale of Odessa, TX and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Johnny Touchstone officiating.
