Maurine Doran

Maurine Bevers Doran, age 97, of Odessa, TX, passed away at her home on July 6, 2018 in Odessa.

Maurine was born October 13, 1920 to Walter Claud Bevers and Jodie Thompson Bevers in Knox County, TX. All 12 years of her education were completed in Knox County, TX school system. She married Russell Kermit Doran on January 13, 1940 in Munday, TX. In 1946, they moved to Odessa and became longtime members of the First Christian Church. With a partner, they co-owned and operated the Model Cleaners for more than thirty years.

Russ preceded Maurine in death on April 24, 1997. Maurine's brothers and sisters have all preceded her in death.

Even though Russ and Maurine were not blessed with children, they were loved dearly by their many nephews and nieces. Maurine will be remembered always for her wonderfully loving spirit and radiant smile. May she rest in God's hands and peace forever more.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Midland for their extensive and compassionate care. We also wish to express our deepest appreciation to Martha Ramirez, Manuela Pina, Shanekia Thomas and Carla De La Rosa for all the loving attentive care they gave our Aunt Maurine.
