Melissa Ann Killam

Melissa Killam, 47 years old, of Odessa, TX passed away on November 19, 2024, in Houston, TX after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, TX.

Melissa was born in Odessa, TX to Rheta Baker and John R (Bobby) Reynolds on October 19, 1977. She graduated high school at Lubbock Coronado in Lubbock, TX in 1996. In high school, she was a twirler, played basketball and was on the golf team. She moved to Monahans, TX shortly after graduating where she had two children, Kaitlyne and Keagan. In 2016, she married her soulmate, Scottie Killam, at their home in Odessa. Melissa loved spending time with friends and family, especially while enjoying good food by the pool, or playing card/board games (especially Phase 10).

Melissa is preceded in death by her mother, Rheta Baker; her maternal grandparents, HB & Modelle Baker; and her paternal grandparents, June & Bob Reynolds; as well as her stepdaughter, Victoria Zapata.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Scott; daughter, Kaitlyne Caldwell and her husband Josh Caldwell; son, Keagan Gallagher; step-son, Taylor Absher; her sister, Theresa Seibold and her husband Kevin Seibold; brothers, Jimmy Spears and his wife Carrie, and Chris Spears and his wife Kimberly; father, John R (Bobby) Reynolds and his wife Frankie; grandchildren, Asher Caldwell, Wrenley Harris-Absher, and Inesia, Ceigan, Alex, Sienna, & Adelina Najar; as well as numerous other family members and wonderful friends.
