Meloney Bean

Meloney Gay Bean, 52 of Monahans, died Monday, March 31st at Lakeshore Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. Meloney was born February 7, 1956 in Seminole, TX to Connie and Bettye Smith Bean. She was reared and educated in Monahans and was a 1974 graduate of Monahans High School. Meloney was a lifelong resident of Monahans devoted to her children and grandchildren she shared her life with family and friends in the community. Meloney was a strong supporter of her grandchildren in their school and sports activities. She is preceded in death by her mother Bettye Bean.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelli Vallie of Monahans and Conni Wood and her husband David of Joshua, TX. Her grandchildren; Jordan Abila, Correy Abila, Brandt Wood, and Ethan Wood. Her father Connie Bean and his wife Polly of Monahans.

Memorial funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 3rd at Southside Baptist Church in Monahans, with Pastor Craig Rotan officiating. Viewing will be at Harkey Family Funeral Home, 306 S. Bruce in Monahans beginning at 10:00 AM Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Harkey Family Funeral Home.
