Michael Bava

Michael Mike Bava, age 54, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 in Odessa.

He was born October 31, 1954 in Bronx, New York to Peter and Lucy Bava.

Mike was an avid golfer and bowler along with being an all-around sports fanatic. He was a die hard New Yorker Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan. He touched many lives in a variety of ways and will be deeply missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Richard. Mike is survived by his wife Kay; son Danny and wife Jo of Midland; daughter, Jennifer and husband Nick Wilson of Odessa; brothers, John Bava of Daytona, Florida and Bruce Bava and wife Linda of Odessa; sister, Doreen and husband Sonny Acosta; two grandsons Jared Wilson and Alex Bava; step-granddaughter, Meegan Wilson; extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Wilshire Park Baptist Church in Midland, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice.
