Michael Graham went home to his Lord and Saviour July 5th, 2010.
Michael was born April 16, 1966 in Odessa, Texas Marsha and David Graham. He graduated from Permian High School in 1984. He attended Odessa College where he met his wife Cindy. They were married on August 2, 1986. They had almost 24 years together. He was the father of two children, Caitlin Paige and Philip Michael.
Michael had the opportunity to attend 2 universities, Hardin Simmons University in Abilene where he received A Bachelors degree and a Master Degree in Divinity. He was one of the first graduates of the Logsdon School of Theology. He attended MidWestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas where he received a Master Degree in Healthcare Administration.
He was blessed to have lived in some great towns in Texas and when he left he left many friends. Michael worked as an interim pastor for several churches in Abilene area while attending school. He then moved to Hamilton, Texas where he served as pastor of the First Baptist Church for 5 years and then went to work for Hamilton General Hospital as Chief Executive Officer. His family then relocated to Nocona, Texas where served as CEO of Nocona General Hospital. He then moved to Lubbock to work with Arapaho Healthcare. He relocated back to Odessa where worked at Regency Hospital and CEO. He was currently working for New Direction Ministry as executive director in Midland.
Michael received numerous awards and served on many committees and boards. He had a deep love for healthcare and compassion for people.
Michael joins his father David Graham and grandmother Phyllis Boswell in heaven.
Michael Graham is survived by his wife Cindy Parson Graham, his two children Caitlin Paige Graham and Philip Michael Graham, his mother Marsha Graham, his sister Lori Graham Allen, his grandfather Robert G. Boswell, and his inlaws Ted and Darlene Parson. He also leaves so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He loved fly fishing, riding his motorcycle, building houses and landscaping. His favorite pass times included going to movies and arguing politics.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He made an impression on everyone he met. Memorial can be made to the New Directions Ministry, 509 N. Loraine, Midland, Texas 79701.
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Moody officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
