Michael Ming

Michael Scott Ming, 42, of Odessa Texas, passed away on March 7th, 2020 in Odessa Texas.

Michael was born in Odessa Texas to Mickey and Sandra (Grannymom) Ming on January 22nd, 1978. He worked for Butches Rathole, Mike Byrd, and Express as a CRT Operator, laydown machine operator, & supervisor. He worked in the oil industry for 21 years. He was dedicated to his work and kids; he was someone you could always count on. When he wasn’t working, his time was spent with his kids, family, and close friends. He loved ATVs, RC cars and planes, fishing, and all outdoors. He made sure whoever he was around was happy. He was funny and loved to prank. He was soft spoken; he was called our gentle giant. His presence and soft tones commanded a certain attention that could not be denied. He was a giant among men, he looked out for whoever was in his life. Always making sure his loved ones were okay.

Michael Ming has joined his father Mickey Ming, mother Sandy Ming, and sister Sue Lynn Conyers into that Great Fishing Hole in the sky.

Michael is survived by his daughters Brittany and Brianna Ming, and son Bryan Ming. Son-in-law Brent Odom, and grandson Evan Odom of Odessa, TX. His high school sweetheart and mother of his children Amy Ming of Odessa, TX. Sisters Carol Butler and Dale Baker of Odessa, TX; Susan and Bubba Anders of Vernon, TX; Jodie and David Sarakas of Odessa, Tx; and Shellie Schorovsky of Odessa, TX. Brothers, Tim Ming of Odessa, TX; Ronnie and Michelle Gresham of Camarillo, CA; Dale Ming of Corpus Christi, TX; and Cliff Ming of Beaumont, TX. Grandmother Susie Ming of Wichita Falls, TX. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and great cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00PM on Saturday March 14th ,2020 at Sunset Memorial with Pastor Johnny Touchstone of Vine Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial.

His daughters are very thankful for all of the love, prayers, and support from all family and friends.
