Michael Sledge

Michael Dudley Sledge, 68, passed away on September 4, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Doug Herget officiating.

Mike was born in Odessa, Texas on January 25, 1952 to John D. Sledge and Helen L. Sledge. He went to Odessa High School Class of 1970 and then went on to Texas Tech to graduate with an accounting degree. He was a CPA and self- employed. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Racquetball at the YMCA. He enjoyed spending time with his close friends and meeting for lunch several times a week.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, W.A. and Hattie Sledge; maternal grandparents, R.E. and Verna Lacy; parents, John D. and Helen L. Sledge.

He is survived by brother, Jimmy Sledge and his wife Molly; niece, Crystal Peterson and her husband David and their son Dylan; and several aunts and cousins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Ward, Richard Gray, Byron Harrison, Don Nuckols, J.W. Lacy and Jimmy Sledge.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Medical Center Hospital for their excellent care during this time.

He will be greatly missed by all.
