Michael Paul Whirley, age 60, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2016 in Odessa, Texas.
Michael Paul Whirley was born in Big Spring, Texas to Ray and Mildred Whirley on February 25, 1956. He attended Burleson Elementary School, Bowie Junior High School and Odessa High School in Odessa, Texas. He married his "Brown Eyed Girl" Cynthia Gail Rimer on May 1, 1976 in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from High School with a GED while serving his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a life-long Oilfield Entrepreneur working with R & H Well Service, Trey Trucks, Whirley Equipment & Sales, Globe Energy Services and Dragon West Texas. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War era serving our country as a Lance Corporal Explosives Ordinance Disposal in The United States Marine Corp. He served as a Director for the Permian Basin International Oil Show. He had a great love for the American Cancer Society Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Mr. Whirley is preceded in death by his father, Raymond and mother, Mildred Whirley, sister, Deana Whirley and two brothers, Allen and Dennis Whirley.
Michael is survived by his faithful sweetheart of 41 years, Cynthia Gail Whirley; son, Philliph and Wendy Whirley of Odessa, Texas, daughter, Tiffney Lanette Pedersen and husband Anders of Abilene, Texas; brother, Jerry Ray Madry of Abilene, Texas; sisters, Sharon Ranell Herrington of Houston, Texas, Patty Marie Floyd of Odessa, Texas, Tammy Eyvonne Gibson of Big Spring, Texas, Mary Ann Smith of Crane, Texas; five grandchildren, Samantha Nicole, Kyle Nicholas, Sabrina Gail Whirley, Michael Robert and Johanne Faith Gail Pedersen.
Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Brashear, Ray Floyd, Gary Kemp, Chris Rimer, Darrell Rimer, Johnny Floyd, John Hawkins, Wade Havens and Cody Vogler.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Memorial Services will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Friday, March 11, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kyle L. Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
