Mickey Fletcher

Mickey C. Fletcher of Odessa, Texas was born October 23, 1933 in Graham, Texas to Annie Guinn and Claude Miller. She passed away December 11, 2009. Mickey moved to Odessa with her family as a teenager and graduated from Odessa High School in 1951. Following graduation, she was employed by Phillips Petroleum. She married Walter Lee Fletcher on March 5, 1955 and was a homemaker for many years. Mickey returned to work in 1979 at Crockett Junior High School where she remained until her retirement in 2002.

Mickey is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gene Miller and his wife Marcellene, her nephew Larry Lain and her husband, Walt Fletcher. She is survived by her daughter, Lesa Wolfe of Lubbock and her husband Jim Wolfe and their daughters Claire, Audra and Grace as well as daughter Diane Burnett of Odessa and her husband John Burnett and their sons Hayden and Hunter. Other survivors include her brother James Miller and wife Doris of Odessa, sister Ann Connally and husband Dave of Midland, and sister Betty Lain and husband Leland of Odessa along with many nieces and nephews.

Her family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Sherwood Place, Compass Hospice and Comfort Keepers for their expressions of love and comfort to Mickey.

Visitation with the family will be 5:30-7:30 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Troy Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Mickey to the American Cancer Society or Compass Hospice.
