Mike Ralston

Mike R. Ralston, age 71, of Odessa, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 surrounded by his family.

Mike was born May 23, 1940 in Kermit, Texas to the late James Thomas JT and Myrtis Ralston. Mike attended school in Odessa. Mike married Wanda Anderson on 28 June 1958 in Midland.

Mike joined the Army in 1956 and then transferred into the Navy September 1959 where he served as a Boiler Tech until 1965. After being discharged from the military he worked for TXDOT, drove Semitrucks and owned his own business. Upon retiring, he was a relay driver for the OA for 13 years.

Mike is survived by his wife, Wanda Ralston of Odessa two sons, Michael Ralston and Leslie of Midland, Texas and Curtis Ralston and Dana of Greenwood, Texas one daughter, Rhonda Griffith and Griff of Boerne, Texas seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one brother Jerald Ralston and Sue of Odessa.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, JT and Myrtis Ralston two sisters, Alice Sandel and Priscilla Pappel.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 18, 2012 at Midessa Heights Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Matthew Ralston, Heath Ralston, Colton Griffith, Tim Hulsey, Brandon Long, Jerod Swafford, John Lewis and Steven Kirk. Honorary pallbearers will be Cason Hulsey and Cooper Swafford.

In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa. The family of Mike Ralston wish to extend our sincere thanks to: Midessa Heights, Home Hospice of Odessa, friends and family.
