Mildred Mahler

Mildred Irene Mahler joined her Lord and Savior on May 1, 2008. She was born in Ranger, Texas on July 22, 1932. She married the love of her life on December 19, 1973. She had many occupations, the most important job being a hard-working homemaker. She became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in November 1986. Her life was full of joy and love.

Mrs. Mahler was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Otto Mahler, Sr., her parents Joe B. and Blanche Johnston, sister Eleen Francis Perry, sister Margret Spain, and brother Joe B. Johnston, Jr.

She is survived by many loved ones including her daughter Judy and husband Ron Turner of Odessa, Texas, daughter Lois and husband Joel Hankins of Odessa, Texas, son Fred Haney of Odessa, Texas, son Jimmy and wife Kathy Mahler of Odessa, Texas, daughter Roberta and husband Kenny Branch, daughter Mary Lou Haney of California, son Larry Gean Haney of California, son Danny Haney of Iowa, son Teddy Haney of California, son Bobby Joe Haney of California, sister Vera Smith of Odessa, Texas, Ella Mae Clifton of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Sue Taylor of Arkansas, Johnnie Sumrow of Kemp, Texas, brother Bobby McMaster of Odessa, Texas, 35 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express a world of thanks to the nurses of Nurses Unlimited, especially Greg, Margaret, and Miss Bell. You all were the greatest Thanks for all of the care you gave Mildred, nothing went unnoticed. Mildred also had two wonderful providers, Cindy Shrump and Darlene Doud. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church, with Dr. James Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
