Miriam Mccain

Miriam McCain, 94, of Odessa, TX, passed away November 13, 2013 in Odessa TX. Miriam C. McCain was born September 19, 1919, in Houma La. to the late Guy and Ammie Duthu Chauvin. She was one of nine children. Her brothers and sisters were Gordon, Roland, Myrte ,Earnestine Butsy, Velma, Charlotte, Bernice and Guy She attended school in Houma, LA. Miriam married Rush Edward McCain in Houma on February 28, 1940.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 17th at St. Marys Catholic Church. Celebration Mass will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at St. Marys Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Miriam was a homemaker and an active member of St. Marys Catholic Church. She was active in the Legion of Mary, Altar Society, CWO, Bereavement Committee, The Choir and a Lector.
Miriam is preceded in death by her husband, Rush Edward McCain.

Survivors include her daughter, Lita Lauterbach Hale and husband Buddy, sister, Velma Hamner, grandchildren: Julie Beth Lauterbach, Bryan Lauterbach and Alex Hale and his wife Heather Hale, greatgrandchildren: Jayme Rowe, Jessica Rowe, McCain Lauterbach, Zakery Lauterbach and Ella Lauterbach and Olivia Hale and Lexi Hale. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Marys Catholic Church Chapel and Catholic Charities.
