Treca June Lang, passed away on May 9, 2015 in Fairfield, Texas. She was 91 years old.
Funeral services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa, Texas on May 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Paul Thompson and Reverend John VanHoose officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Local arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
Treca June Lang, or "Miss Tricky," as most everyone she knew called her, was born on June 12, 1923 in Roswell, New Mexico to Ammon & Minnie (Lewis) Powell. She lived most of her life with her late husband, Ernie, in Oklahoma. Treca was an excellent seamstress and made most of her's and Ernie's clothing. She was also an excellent cook. Treca loved the country and lived on a river near Durant, Oklahoma where she and Ernie would spend time fishing. Treca also had a fondness for cats and enjoyed caring for them. She has lived the past ten years with her sister, Kita, coming from Odessa, Texas. Treca was Assembly of God in faith.
Treca is preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Ernie Lang; son, Dennis Lang; eight brothers & a sister.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Lang of Missouri; sisters, Kita Haynie of Marquez and Dellene Janson of Odessa; grandchildren, Larry, David & Christina and several great grandchildren.
