Monte Marshall, age 53, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Odessa, Texas, after battling with cancer since 2007.
He was born November 10, 1959 to Madeleine Marshall in Odessa, Texas.
His most recent job was at Seminole Memorial as a Respiratory Therapist and prior to that he was a traveling Respiratory Therapist for 20 years. He lived in Maine, Montana, Hawaii, Florida, and Colorado. Monte also worked at Medical Center Hospital in ICU and CCU as a respiratory therapist for 8 years. He touched lives and saved lives for many decades.
Monte loved football, He was an exceptional football player for Permian High School in the late 70s and then continued his football career in Southern California. He then coached Pop Warner football at Blanton Elementary and LBJ Elementary for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeleine Marshall and his brothers, Steve and Mike Marshall.
He is survived by his cousin, Rick Elder of Oklahoma City, close friends, Shelley Rash of Odessa and Laine Friesen of Seminole, Texas. He is also survived by many friends whom he worked and kept in touch with and who loved him and will miss him dearly.
His friends requests that memorials be directed to Hospice House.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Bob Bratcher officiating. Pallbearers will be John Kepple, Jack Brooks, Rick Elder, Randy Friesen, Trent Burger, Steven Hudson, Kenny Freeman, Rinny Johnson and Ian Kepple.
