Montgomery "Mg" Clark

Montgomery Gibbs (MG) Clark, 80, of Odessa, passed away on June 27, 2022, in Odessa.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Glenn Clark of Ranger, TX, officiating.   Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens.

MG Clark was born in Fulton, New York to Charles Clark & Florence Gibbs Clark on December 27, 1941.  He attended school in Pyote and Monahans, TX through the 8th grade at which time he quit school and went to work to help provide for his family.  Because of this, he made sure that all three of sons graduated from high school.  He married Norma Gail Meeks on September 29, 1959, in Wicket, TX. He worked as a mechanic for R&H Well Service for over 35 years until his retirement.  He was involved in the Permian Basin Oil Show for years and was one of the few remaining people who could get the old steam engine and wooden oil derrick to work.

MG is preceded in death by Norma, his wife of 53 years, parents Charles & Florence, five brothers (Charles, Eldon, Donald, Maynard, and Craig), and one sister (Nadine).

MG is survived by his three sons: Glenn Clark & wife Donna of Ranger, Jason Clark of Odessa, James Clark & wife Katrina of Odessa, 1 sister (Janice Ensconatus), 6 grandchildren (Lex, Amanda, Ashley, Casey, Josh and Michaela) and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Lex Clark, Josh Clark, and Casey Clark; grandsons-in-law Cody Wood and Joe Ingmire; and long-time family friend Mike Eaton.  Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons Trey Clark, Remi Clark, Jason Clark, and Jaxen Ingmire.
