Nancy Trevino

Nancy Trevino, 36, of Odessa, TX, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 17, 2015.

A Visitation Service will be at 4:00 pm, Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gabriel Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.


Nancy was the cherished daughter of Alejandro and Maria Trevino of Odessa, TX, born on April 8, 1979. She was also the beloved baby sister and aunt to her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.

Nancy will always be remembered as the funny, spunky, smart and determined baby girl of the family. Although she struggled with multiple health issues, she showed her strength of character and unwavering faith by maintaining her sense of humor and continuously looking to the future and planning all the things she was going to do when she was better. Her one joy was to serve in her beloved home church at Word of God Ministries by volunteering her time at each service.
Her father, Alejandro Trevino and her sister, Joyce Trevino Diaz, precede her in death.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Maria Trevino, her sisters, Susan Trevino of Odessa, TX, Lisa Resendiz of Bryan, TX, Rachel Mermea of Lubbock, TX and her brothers, Alex Trevino, Jr. of Odessa, TX, Ruben Trevino of Converse, TX, Tony Trevino of San Antonio, TX and Larry Trevino of Pflugerville, TX.

To our beloved sister and daughter: We love you Nancy! In our eyes you will always be that baby girl who had the quiet demeanor with a smile that said you knew something we didn't! No longer are you restrained by your physical limitations! We look forward to seeing you once again in eternity.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors providing her with compassionate care at Medical Center Hospital. A special thanks to Nurses; Joann, Doris, Jeanette, Edna, Margaret and the ICU nursing staff for the kindness and attention. A heartfelt thanks to Nancy's doctors; Dr. Abdul Kadir, Dr. Fernando Boccalandro, Dr. Jayaram B. Naidu, and Dr. Davidson and staff who made every effort to provide the best possible care for Nancy.

We would also like to thank all of the friends and family who visited Nancy while she was hospitalized and those who have supported us through this very difficult time.
