Nathan "N.E" Stephens

Nathan Eugene Stephens (Steve) was born June 28, 1932, in Royston, Texas, and passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Odessa, Texas.

NE (Steve) joined the United States Air Force right out of high school.

He loved softball and he was a world class fast pitch softball pitcher. He won many trophies and awards during his 30+ years. He loved traveling and pitching for many different teams. He met a bunch of people and many of them became a second family.

After his softball years, he moved over to playing golf. He really enjoyed playing and the year he won the Club Championship was truly a highlight for his competitive nature.

He loved bowling in a league for many years.

NE is preceded in death by Norma Childers Stephens and Maxine Riley Stephens.

NE leaves behind his children, Mark (Sylvia) Stephens, Tracy Stephens, Kyle (Mary) Stephens, Guy (Cari) Riley, Lance (Danya) Riley; sisters, Gay Peters and Peggy Higgins; 18 grandkids, 22 great grandkids; and one great-great grandson.

He enjoyed people, he will be truly missed.
