Nelda Bratton

Nelda Bratton, 88, of Odessa, passed away on January 7, 2019 in Odessa, Texas.

Closed-casket Visitation will be during the day, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home, 6801 E HWY 80, Odessa, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Emeritus America Rojas officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Nelda was born on a farm in Floyd County, TX to Otis and Beulah Huckabee on March 7, 1930. She went to school at Lockney and married Bob Bratton in Floydada, TX. She worked as a librarian for Ector County Library for several years and spent her life nurturing her family and those around her.

Nelda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, her son Allen, her grandson Daniel, and her brother Gerald.

She is survived by her children, Vicky and Barry and his wife Lori, her sister Nita, her brother W.A. and his wife Toni, sister in-law, LouAnn Huckabee , her grandchildren, Kelly, Robert, Jennifer, Alyssa, Marissa, Jessica, Paul, and Lindsey, and her great grandchildren, Lee, Emily, Layla, Trigger, Daniel, Augustus, and Zenna.

Memorials may be given to Highland United Methodist Church.
