Nell James

Nell James, 77, of Odessa, TX, passed away on February 28, 2015 in San Angelo, TX.

Family visitation will be at 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday March 4 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

Nell was born in Spur, TX on February 11, 1938 to Jim & Rose Smith. Nell graduated from Spur High School & was homecoming Queen her senior year. Nell married Jim James on May 18, 1957 and moved to Odessa in 1963. Nell enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and spent most of her time being "Nanna" to all she knew and she will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, sisters Patsy & Vida, her brother Herman & grandson Brandyn.

She is survived by sons, Danny James, of San Angelo, daughter Sabrina Blanks & husband Gary of White Oak, TX, son Lann James of San Angelo, her brother Bob Smith of Slaton, TX,; grandchildren, Krista and Scott Wiehle of Fort Worth, Will and Shelly Jones of Dallas, TX, Daniel and Mandy James of Anson, TX, Laci and B.J. Crosson of San Angelo, Chris and Leslie Blanks of Cealy, TX, Justin Blanks of Long Beach, Calif. Champ james of San Angelo; great grandchildren, Mason, Kennedy, Zeke, Prestley, Shaylee, Sydney, Jackson, Lauren and Sailer, Cece, Jacob, Scott, Jaxson, Wyatt, Garrett and numerous nieces and nephews .

Pallbearers will be Will Jones, Daniel James, Scott Wiehle, BJ Crosson, Mason James and Zeke Wiehle.
