Neta Jane Green, age 74, of Odessa, TX, passed away on June 26, 2017 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, June 30, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Neta Jane Green was born May 15, 1943 to Clarence Eugene Whitling, Sr. and Hallie Christine Whitling in Monahans, TX. Neta graduated from Andrews, TX. She married Vernon Green on February 6, 1974 in Eunice, NM. Together they raised 3 children. Neta loved to fish, hunt, travel, play cards and dominoes, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Neta is preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon Green, her parents, Clarence, Sr. and Hallie Whitling, her two brothers, Shannon Weaver and William Walter (Pete) Whitling and her sister, Christine R. Collum.

She is survived by her three children, John and his wife Betty Draper of Abilene, TX, Tina and her husband, Patrick Slatton of Odessa, TX, Kim Draper of Odessa, TX; step daughter, Jo Beth Green King and her husband, Dan of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Barbara Ann Adams of Odessa, TX; brother, Eugene Whitling, Jr. and his wife Linda of Granbury, TX; seven grandchildren, David Boner and his wife Ronda of Odessa, TX, Michael Chester and his wife, Janie of Odessa, Joshua Atwell of Odessa, Shawn Slatton and his wife Leann of Odessa, William Stith of Odessa, Caleb Draper and his wife, Lindsey of Abilene, TX, Rachael Draper of Abilene, TX, Nicole Ragain of Carlsbad, NM, Savanna Jo Ragain Bond and her husband, Jesse; ten great grandchildren, Christian, Nathanial, Sabestian, Lakota, Whitley Jo, Jaci, Alondra, Jalie, Ariel and Carter.
