Nina Lorene Coggin Sayles, 80, of Chickasha, Oklahoma and formerly of Odessa, Texas died at 1:35 AM on Sunday in the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday in the New Life Christian Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Minister Ezell Nelson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Odessa, Texas with Minister Don Fankhauser of the Antioch Christian Church at Odessa, Texas officiating. Visitation in Odessa will be 9:00 10:30 AM Friday, December 19, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sayles was born December 21, 1927 at Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Wes and Arva Goodin Coggin. She graduated from Fairview High School as Valedictorian in 1945. Mrs. Sayles was married to Clark Eugene Sayles Sr., on May 24, 1950 in New Mexico. They made their home in Odessa, Texas until Mr. Sayles death in 1980. Mrs. Sayles moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma and was employed with the American Greeting Card Company and received her fifteen year pin at age 80 years. She moved to Dewey, Oklahoma on November 27, 2008 to be with her daughter. Mrs. Sayles was a charter member of the New Life Christian Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma and enjoyed working in her yard.
Survivors include her sons Clark Eugene Sayles Jr., of Mesquite, Texas and Bobby Ray Sayles and wife Terry of Odessa, Texas; her daughter Sonya Lyn Sayles of Dewey, Oklahoma; her sister Mary Coggin Gann of Chickasha, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Emmitt Wesley Coggin and Robert Coggin and a sister Martha Coggin Delk.
