Ninnon Kennedy

Ninnon Mae Kennedy, 86, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 in Big Spring, Texas.

She was born July 19, 1923 in Brooksmith, Texas. She earned an LVN degree and worked as a doctors nurse until she married Alton E. Kennedy on April 4, 1967 in El Paso, Texas. She worked for the Texas Highway Department after they moved to Odessa. They lived in the Midland-Odessa area for the past 20 years. She and her husband Alton have resided at the Lamun, Lusk, Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring, Texas for the past six months. She was a member of Worldwide Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Travis Adams. Survivors include her husband, Alton E. Kennedy of Big Spring; a son, Johnny B. Adams of Spring, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Norman Owens officiating.
