Norma Batchelor

Norma Jean Batchelor, 83, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Odessa.

Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Norma was born in Wink, TX on November 21, 1934 to William Douglas Fields and Regina Evans. Norma was raised in Kermit, TX where she excelled in music making All-State on the clarinet. After graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Oliver Batchelor-a marriage celebrated 57 years at the time Oliver passed away. Norma was a Certified Medical Assistant, both in Administration and Clinical. She retired in 2000 as the Office Manager for Dr. Morales.

She was a beloved mother and mamaw. She knew that "making memories" and family were the important things in life. She will be missed by her family, extended and honorary family, and friends.

Norma is survived by her children Judy Batchelor-Drury of Odessa, Connie Batchelor-Moore and husband Barron Moore of Odessa, Danny and Lorinda Batchelor of Katy; grandchildren Amber Ford of Odessa, Corey Ford of Odessa, Jamie and Scott Hubbard of Odessa, Christopher Bailey of San Angelo, Lisa and Chris Alvarado of Midland, Shane Elliott of San Antonio, Alison and Caleb Garison of Cypress, and Brett and Jessica Batchelor of Houston; great grandchildren Rayna Ford of San Antonio, Alex Alvarado of Midland, Jayce Hubbard of Odessa, Victoria Alvarado of Midland, Sarah Hubbard of Odessa, Jalynn Ford of Odessa, Emily Ford of Odessa, Samuel Alvarado of Midland, Chloe Garison of Cypress, Benjamin Alvarado of Midland, and James Garison of Cypress.

Memorial contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels in Norma's name.
