Norma Hanson

Norma Alene Hanson, 82 of Odessa passed away on July 28, 2008 at Hospice House in Odessa. She was born on May 28, 1926 in Cotton Valley, LA to Walter and Maggie Neugent. She came to Penwell in 1951 from Snyder to Odessa in 1961. She loved playing cards, dominos, and arts and crafts.

She is survived by her sons; Ronald Leon Hanson of Atlanta, Ricky Don Hanson, Walter Steve Hanson, Kevin Dwayne Hanson all of Odessa; daughter; Teresa Gaye Sauler of Odessa, 2 nieces, brother; F.W. Neugent of Atlanta, sister; Maggie Mae Neugent of Odessa, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday July 31, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Tamplin and Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Graveside service will be held on Friday August 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethsaida Cemetery in Ida, LA. In lieu of flowers family request that donations be made to Hospice House.
