Norma Lynn Valdez, 48, of Odessa, entered the gates of heaven on December 10, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.
Norma was born in Odessa, Texas to Greg and Gloria Valdez on December 23, 1971. She graduated from Permian High School in 1990. She was an employee of MRC Global. Customers enjoyed placing orders through her because of her genial voice, personality, and all-around character. Norma exhibited compassion in everything she did. With an artistic soul that had a strong love for crafts, she made sure to sprinkle a little bit of glitter in everyone’s life. The more glitter, the better. This sparkle shined in and out of Norma, for she had silky smooth, knuckle less hands that felt like a cloud when touching them. Norma had one daughter, that was her pride and joy.
Norma is preceded in death by her brother, Carlos Valdez; maternal grandparents, Rodolfo and Margarita Arredondo; and paternal grandparents, Martin and Santos Valdez.
Norma is survived by her parents; daughter, Samantha Ramos; brother, Ray Valdez; sister, Sylvia Llanez; best friend/cousin, Melissa Arenivas and family, Pete, Nicholas and Matthew; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will take place at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Bernardito Getigan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Arenivas, Matthew Arenivas, Pete Arenivas, Henry Mendoza, Marcos Barrios and James Avila.
