Norma Welborn

Norma Louise Welborn, age 80, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on May 14, 2016 in Duncan, OK.

Norma was born October 6, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Harry Bruner Dobbs and Elizabeth Anne (Hutchinson) Dobbs.

She married James "Al" Welborn on June 9, 1969 in Odessa, TX. They were married for 44 years until his passing on February 12, 2014. She enjoyed painting and taking care of her dogs. She was a member of
Westside Church of Christ in Midland, TX. Norma lived the last two years in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Dobbs; brothers, Harry B. and William "Bill" Dobbs; her loving husband, "Al" Welborn and her daughter, Cindy Stichert.

She is survived by her son, Mike Elrod and wife, Lisa of Comanche, OK.; grandchildren, Kristy Huffine of Abilene, TX, Joe Elrod of Duncan, OK., Elizabeth Bennet of Woodlands, TX, Chris Elrod of Altus, OK., Jennifer Travis of Las Cruces, NM, Noel Locker of Odessa, TX and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Vestal officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
