Olen Coleman

Mr. Olen (O.W.) Coleman, age 88, of Bogata, TX passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones Tuesday, April 26, 2016.

His family will receive friends, Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 7:00-8:00 pm at Wood Funeral Home in Bogata, TX. They will also receive friends, Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, TX.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Johnny Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

O.W. was born March 31, 1928 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Irvin and Effie Coleman. He married the former Burnie Grissom. He moved to West Texas to work in the oilfields at a young age. In 1974 he bought and moved to a new cotton farm in North Reagan County. In 1975 he became owner and operator of Coleman Rotary Air Water Well Drilling, until 1997 when he semiretired to enjoy their cattle ranch in Bogata.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Burnie, 2 sons, Terry and Jimmy Coleman and two granddaughters, Trena Rogers and Tonya Smith; five brothers, Landell, Don, Clifford and Doug Coleman and Bill Fentress; three sisters, Jewell Golden, Jean Huggins and Helen Wright.

He is survived by the love of his life for the last 11 years, Paulette Kizer; Daughters, Paula Smith and husband, Glen, Connie Levari and husband, Luis and Bonnie Whitehead; sisters, Shirley Ramsey, Bobbie Saunders and Maria Church; brother, Harry Fentress; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
