Oleta Kennedy

Oleta Florene Rene Kennedy, age 88, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in Odessa.

She was born May 5, 1923 in Big Spring, Texas to Emmett Hooper and
Edna Boren Hooper. She married James Roy Kennedy on September 10, 1948 in Big Spring, Texas. She was retired from the ECISD food service department.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Kennedy her son, Roy Don Kennedy brothers, Barney, Dewayne, Eddie, Johnny, and Doyle Hooper.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda and husband Bill Bartholomae Granddaughter, Joyce Lavon and husband Robin Smith Grandson, David and wife Jacoba Bartholomae five great grandchildren, Joseph Gattis and wife Linda, Billy Smith and wife Jesika, Jacob Bartholomae, Taylor Smith and Samuel Bartholomae great great grand children, Meghan Gattis, and Jaden Gattis sister, Orvellia Solis and husband Israel, and best friend, Betty Wahl.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Terry Wright officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Bartholomae, Robin Smith, Joe Gattis, Billy Smith, Jacob Bartholomae, Samuel Bartholomae, and Taylor Smith.
