Ollie Perkins

Our sweet mom, grandma, nana, GG, and aunt went home to our Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family as she walked into her family in heaven, welcoming her with open arms and singing on November 5, 2021, at the age of 89.

Ollie Mae St. John Perkins was born to Earl and Maydell St. John on September 27, 1932, in Bryan County, Oklahoma. Ollie married Arnold Edward “A.E.” Perkins on August 19, 1949.

They had three boys and one girl, Jackie, Jerry, Jimmy, and Judy. They were almost married 49 years, before the passing of Arnold in 1998. She loved to travel and fish with Arnold.

She volunteered at the nursing homes, visiting with everyone. She loved when the grandkids would come to visit her and go eat. She loved sitting in the backyard with her dog, Cindy. She was a strong Christian woman and was a member at Vine Baptist Church.

Ollie is survived by her sons, Jackie Perkins and wife Wanda of Odessa, Jerry, and Jimmy Perkins of Odessa; daughter, Judy Pittman, and husband Lynn of Kermit; 16 grandkids; 40 great grandkids; 8 great-great grandkids; sister, Linda Scott and husband Rily of Denison, TX; brother, Johnny St. John of Blue, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold Perkins; parents, Earl, and Maydell St. John; one grandson, Jackie D. Perkins; and three sisters, Evelyn Russell, Abbie Owen, and Bonnie Ratcliff.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Perkins, Mark Perkins, Toby Pittman, Robert Perkins, Shawn Perkins, and Michael Rushing.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Touchston officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
