Orval Schenkel

Orval William Schenkel, age 84, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas.

He was born December 3, 1928 in Dallas, Texas to Herman Asbury Schenkel and Daisy Edith Kahl Schenkel. He married Weda Schenkel on March 1, 1989 in Lovington, New Mexico. He was a selfemployed Electrical Contractor for 40 years in Odessa. He was a member of the Ector County Sherriffs Posse and Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Weda his parents and a brother, Herman Asbury Schenkel, Jr. and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Schekel.

Survivors include his sons, William Scott Schenkel and wife Mary of Carrollton, Texas and Terry Lee Schenkel and wife Elizabeth of Sonora, Texas, his daughter, Stacy Ann Funderburk and husband Mike of Lubbock, Texas and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Larry Hood officiating.
