Othal Lee Gray, age 74, of Odessa, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in Odessa, with his family by his side.
He was born May 1, 1938 in Lamesa, Texas to Arvie Gray and Cleta Wilkerson Gray. He attended Dawson High School in Welch, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army from 19581961. On March 20, 1958, he married Carol Robinson in Wink, Texas. He worked for Sedco and many oil companies, working overseas in Iran, Egypt, Russia and Yeman for many years. He was the owner of Lee Gray Trucking in Odessa. He was a member of the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge. He loved going to the lake, going to Vegas and loved to have all of his family around at all times.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Billy Gray, and a sister, Bobbie Hataway of Brownwood, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Gray of Odessa children, Ronnie Gray and wife Jarinya of Odessa, Robin Johnson and husband Eric of Odessa, Rusty Gray and wife Linda of Coppell, Texas, Michael Gray and wife Julie of Odessa grandchildren, Leah Gray, Daniel Gray, Kaden Gray, Carter Gray, and Angel Bingham brother, Loyd Gray and wife Laveeta of Fort Worth and sisters, Movelda Harp and husband Bill of Post, Texas and Patsy Erwin and husband Ronnie of Flippin, Arkansas sisterinlaw, Joan Lyles of San Angelo, and brotherinlaw, Jack Hataway of Brownwood.
Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Crossroads Fellowship Church with Rusty Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Home Hospice or Crossroads Fellowship Church.
