Pamela Whitmore

Pamela Owens Whitmore, born March 29, 1952, gained her angel wings May 18, 2021.

Pam was born in Lubbock, TX to Jim and Wanda Owens. She lived most of her life in Odessa, TX. She was a barber by profession. She worked alongside of her grandfather L. C. "Mac" McBride from 1968 to 1980. Upon his death, Pam took over ownership of Mac's Barber Shop. Eventually, she sold the shop and worked for James's Barber Shop and Town & Country Barber Shop. Pam also worked for several years as a bartender at Cassidy's. There she met and married the love of her life, Larry Whitmore. Once they were married, Pam retired to the "Koleta Ranch".

Pam is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Whitmore; her grandparents, Edna and L.C. McBride; parents, Wanda and Gilbert Scarbrough and Margaret and Jim Owens; brothers, Wayne Owens, Tracy Brown, and Richard Lowe.

Pam is survived by her three children Rodney Greene of Helotes, TX, Charlotte (Jeff) Whipp of Timberlake, NC, and Billy McFarland of Halletsville, TX; sisters Valerie (Dub) Lowe of Allen, TX, Jeannette Owens, Danielle Stoppler of Linton, ND, Shelley Smith of Fresno, CA, Jackie Eaton of Odessa, TX, Lee (Kevin) Clark of Fresno, CA; sisters-in-law, Carrie Brown of Odessa, TX and Kathy Brown of Odessa, TX; granddaughters Mollie and Macie Whipp of Timberlake, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, survived by longtime friend, Bobby Gooch, with whom she was grateful to have had for so many years, and all the kids I loved, and watch grow up.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Cancer Association in Pam's name.
