Patricia Harper

Patricia "Sonny" Harper, 88, of Odessa, passed away on August 30, 2015 in Frisco, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Friday, September 4, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clydel Chapman of Northside Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Sonny was born in Mitchell County, Texas to Calvin "Doc" Alvis and Hattie York on September 23, 1926. She went to school in Roscoe, Texas. She married Paul Harper on June 13, 1943 in Big Spring, Texas. She worked for Mrs. Baird's Bread.

Sonny is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two grandsons.

Sonny is survived by her three daughters, Patsy Whiteside of Odessa, Judy Beard of Frisco, and Lynda Kaye Smith of Alaska, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 17 great, great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kelby Beard, Derek Beard, Carson Beard, Madison Beard, Alyson Beard, Shawn Burris, and Chris Williams.

The family of Patricia "Sonny" Harper wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Prairie Estates Nursing Home and Elysians Hospice in Frisco. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Patricia's name to Elysians Hospice at 16750 Westgrove Dr. #100, Addison, TX, 7500.
