Patsy Dubose

Patsy W. Dubose, 69, went to heaven on Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Odessa. Patsy Nana was born on October 6, 1942 in Graham, Texas. She was the youngest daughter of Pat and Nelda Bills of Snyder, Texas.

Patsy was a high school cheerleader in Snyder, Texas, where she met her husband of 53 years, Billy M. Dubose. Patsy married Billy on January 31, 1959. They have lived in Odessa for over 40 years, where they raised their children and spoiled their grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana.

Patsy was instrumental in developing public school education for special needs children in Odessa. She was a lifetime member of her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi. These women were and are a large part of her strength and foundation.

Patsy was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing with Billy, teaching untold numbers of kids to water ski, and relaxing with family and friends. She enjoyed the mountains, especially snow skiing the ocean and the beach and any and all activities that her children and grandchildren were involved in.

Patsy was the matriarch of the Dubose clan the glue that holds them together. She was incredibly devoted to her children and grandchildren she was the greatest Nana to all. Patsy had many passions, but most of all, she dedicated her life to caring for her youngest daughter, Shana.

She earned her halo many years ago, she just now went to claim it.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Billy M. Dubose of Odessa her children, Billy Jr. Becky Dubose, Lori Dubose Brownlow, and Shana Dubose, all of Odessa her brotherinlaw and sister, Orville and Sonya Watson of Lafayette, Louisiana her aunt and cousin, Daisy Linda Page of Coleman, Texas and her grandchildren Lauren Dubose of Houston, Dustin Tisha Dubose of Odessa, and Daniel Kayley Howard of Odessa her adopted family, Trent Melissa Yates and their children, Barrett and Branson and her long time friend, Bea Tate as well as many other friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pat Nelda Bills her inlaws, Bill Juanita Dubose her uncle, Donald Tedo Page and her youngest grandson, Mason Brownlow, who was waiting for a Nana hug.

Nana will greatly missed by all.

Services for Patsy will be held Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads Fellowship 6901 East Highway 191, Odessa, TX 79762 with Clydell Chapman officiating. Graveside services at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home to follow. The visitation will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 3pm5pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
