Patsy "Pat" Robbins

Patsy Ruth Robbins died during the early morning of Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the age of 94.

Pat was born in Happy, Texas to James and Ila Gaston on February 11, 1927.  She married Harold (Dee) Holley on October 10, 1943 in Muleshoe, Texas.  They lived there, together with their 4 children, on a cotton farm until they moved into town during 1966.  She and Dee moved to Odessa in 1975.  After Dee’s passing in 1997, she married Charles Robbins who passed away June 20, 2020.

Throughout her life, she worked hard, loved fearlessly, and taught her children to do the same.  She was a tough and courageous woman who handled every challenge with deep, practical wisdom.  She cared for her grandmother who raised her for many years, nursed her husband Dee through his battle with Leukemia, and cared for her husband Charles in their later years.  Pat had a sharp, dry wit; she loved to trade barbs with anyone brave enough to take her on.

Pat is survived by her son, Eddie Duane Holley of San Antonio and her daughter, Marcia Jan and husband Sim Davis.  She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Patsy Ann Martin and Charlotte Darlene Smith.  Pat had 4 grandchildren: Shellie Parker, Laurie Wade, Jarrod Hanks, and Joshua Holley.  She will be missed by her family and the very best friends anyone could ever hope for.

Pat attended Parkview Church of Christ in Odessa.  Her family requests donations to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in lieu of flowers.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 30, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Clydel Chapman officiating.
