Pauline Broyles, age 87, of New Boston, Texas died peacefully Saturday, November 28, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. BR Mrs. Broyles was born July 16, 1922, in Three Point, Kentucky. Mrs. Broyles was noted for baking pies, sewing clothes and was a member of the Dogwood Garden Club and a Methodist. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Edmond Broyles and her parents Dewitt and Liza Spurlock. BR Survivors include one son, Kenneth Edmond Broyles of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Paula Johnson of New Boston, Texas, and Joan Stallard of Mount Vernon, Ohio; two brothers, Kenneth Spurlock of Middlesboro, Kentucky, and Ralph Spurlock of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Jenny Lou Spurlock of New Boston, Texas; five grandchildren, Kami Brown of McKinney, Darrell Broyles of Dallas, Michael Conn of Odessa, Jessica DeVasier of Maud and Damon Johnson of New Boston; six greatgranddaughters; two greatgrandsons; and a number of friends. BR Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa with Pastor Jimmy Braswell officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. In lieu of flowers the family asks friends to contribute to the church or charity of their choice.
