Berlanga; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. BRPeggy was born and raised in Lamesa. She wed Bull Price in August of 1963 She loved taking care of her family and she loved to create things. She grew up making her own clothes, and she continued making clothes for her children and grandchildren. She made everything from wedding dresses to quilts for the babies. As a girl, her favorite books were Nancy Drew mysteries; as a grandmother, she loved books by James Lee Burke and Larry McMurtry. When her children were grown, she learned to play the piano. Then, she passed on her knowledge to her granddaughter. She also took up painting and calligraphy. When the tremors in her right hand would no longer allow her to write, she taught herself to use her left hand. Even when she had to give up painting, sewing, and playing the piano, she still found enjoyment in her crossword puzzles, tending her flowers, and feeding the birds. She had a contest with her cousin to see who could spot the first hummingbird each season. She also fed every stray that happened by, and we often teased her about her part-time dogs. Her son-in-law said she made the best chocolate sheet cake in the worldit was all he ever asked for on his birthday. BROne of the grandchildren said that when she thought of her grandmother she always thought of birds and flowers. What a wonderful way to be remembered The family would like to thank the loving care provided by Medical Center Hospitals nurses, especially Lupe; the Home Hospice nurses, especially Donella, and the Hospice House of Odessa. A special thanks also to the WTCC nurses and to all the friends and family who sent flowers and cards and food each time she was hospitalized. In lieu of flowers, Peggy requested donations be sent to the Humane Society of Odessa.
