Perry Young

Perry Juan Young, age 71, of Odessa, TX, passed away on May 18, 2016 in Odessa.

Perry was born in Paducha, TX, on August 16, 1944 to Lewis B. Young and Mildred (Henson) Young. He married Linda Sharon (Hodges) Young on December 29, 1969 in Odessa, TX. They remained married for 31 years until her passing in 2001. Perry served in the United States Army from 1965-1967. He worked for the City of Odessa as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked for Southwest Portland Cement. Perry was known to have a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.

Perry is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Bovine Young; Mother, Mildred Young; his twin brother, Jerry Young; sister, Betty Young and his loving wife of 31 years, Linda Young.

He is survived by his two sisters in law, Jean Bell and Janice Hodges as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be at 4:30 pm, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
