Polytimi Parker

Polytimi “Polette” Verouti Parker, 86, of Odessa, TX, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 22, 2021. She was born July 2, 1935 in Sparta, Greece to Theodore Veroutis and Marigo Marinakou Veroutis.

Polette grew up in Sparta with her five older siblings. She had a loving, playful, and adventurous spirit. She enjoyed sports and was a great athlete. When she was young, she would play soccer with her older brothers. As she got older, she developed a love for golf, pool, and bowling. Playing cards with friends was a favorite past time of Polette’s.

After meeting and marrying her husband, Roy Parker, in Greece, the couple moved to Benghazi, Libya where they had their daughter, Lee. From there, the family moved to Monahans, TX and then Odessa, TX where she lived until she passed. She found that she loved living in the US so much that she obtained citizenship.

Polette excelled at everything she set her mind to. She spoke five languages. She bowled so many perfect games, she filled a shoe box with perfect strike pins. Her putting game was incredible.

She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, godmother, sister, and friend. She was generous, kind, and deeply loved. Her love for her family and friends was unmatched. She will be greatly missed.

Polette is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Veroutis and Marigo Marinakou Veroutis, and her grandson, Cyrus Perkins, IV.

She is survived by her daughter, Lee Polette Perkins, granddaughter, Ashlee Rae Perkins, great granddaughter, Kinslee Ann Perkins and a brother, Nikolaus Verouti.
