Prudencio Minjarez

Prudencio Minjarez, age 83, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016, in Odessa.

Prudencio, loving husband, father, and grandfather, was born April 28, 1933 to Petra and Santana Minjarez. He moved to Odessa at an early age, and married Carmen Granado in 1954, they were married for 63 years. He was the owner of Prudy Tile Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents Petra and Santana Minjarez, son Predencion D. Minjarez Jr., brothers Manuel Minjarez, Johnny Joe Minijarez, and grandson Joe Anthony Guerra.

He is survived by his loving wife Carmen Minjarez, son Miguel Minjarez, daughters Irene Lujan, Mary Irma (Orlando) Venegas, brothers Paul Garza, Manuel Minjarez, Braulio (Leo) Minjarez, Johnny Joe Minjarez, sisters Priscila Martinez, Mary Perez, Cleophas (Janie) Ariias, Margarita Garcia, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 6pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 7601 N. Grandview Ave, Odessa, with Father Mark Woodruff officiating.
