Quentin Earl Hussey, 58, peacefully passed away with his devoted wife by his side on June 21, 2016. He was born on November 26, 1957, in Ft. Worth to Carole Janet Beall and Quentin Alva Hussey. He grew up in Arlington and graduated from Lamar High School.
Quen married his soul mate, Nancy Maggard, on November 20, 1982 and they celebrated 33 years together. He moved to Odessa in 1980 to work in the oil and gas industry. He worked for several different companies before beginning his own business in 2002, Wellhead Specialties Equipment and Services. He was a very successful entrepreneur and was respected by many as an industry leader.
Quen is survived by his wife, Nancy Hussey; daughter Mikki McDougall and her husband Will; daughter, Alicia Smyers and her husband Seth, both of Odessa; son, Aaron Flynn and his wife Kimberly of Nancy, Kentucky.
He is also survived by his sisters, Shirlie Johnson, Janice Retra of Arlington, Cheryl Whitaker of Austin. Quen, also known as Pop, leaves behind nine grandchildren (Kelsi, Montanna, Skylar, Avery, Hunter, Caden, Hannah, Haylee and Emily) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Quen is preceded in death by his parents, Carole Spencer and Quentin A. Hussey.
Memorial services will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers, you make donations to your favorite children's charity or animal rescue charity.
