Randall Bryan Bailes

October 5, 1938 - October 15, 2017

Randall Bryan Bailes entered the gates of Heaven on the 15th of October, 2017, at the age of 79.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, October 20, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas with Reverend James Bishop and Reverend Tony Bishop officiating.
Randall was born on October 5, 1938 in Marthaville, LA to Worth and Birdie Bailes. He married Lou Collins on March 28, 1962. They were blessed with two daughters, Sherry and Sheila.

Randall graduated from Crane High School in May of 1957 and attended Texas Tech University. Randall served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1965. After discharge, Randall continued to work on government contracts for Litton Industries, Texas Instruments and Raytheon until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing and playing softball. He also enjoyed his ministry at church as the music director. He was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Odessa, Texas.

Randall is preceded in death his parents, Worth and Birdie Bailes, and grandson, Travis Bishop.Randall is survived by his wife, Lou Bailes; daughter, Sherry Bishop and husband, Rev. James Bishop; daughter, Sheila Munsell and husband, Kenny Munsell; brother, Bruce Bailes and wife, Edith Bailes; sister, Barbara Pratt and husband, Jim Pratt; grandson, Rev. Tony Bishop and wife, Samantha Bishop and great-grandson, Julian Bishop. He is also survived by several nephews and a niece.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Visiting Angels, Star Hospice and the Courtyard for their kind care extended to Randall.
